I am sorry for anyone having holiday stress and crowds and shopping. I really am happy we are doing nothing. I am wearing Holiday shirts and a Rudolph hat and it still does not feel like Christmas to me.

3 boxes packed up today thus far. I am going to see how many I can get packed before 10pm and then go to bed.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Gearing up for shopping (on a very scaled-down immediate-family-only scale) tomorrow and Tuesday (Monday is a normal work day), but frankly delighted because the last paycheck went mostly to rent and I had thought that all the shopping was going to have to happen on Tuesday after being paid on Monday, but I got paid yesterday instead--it's a Christmas miracle!

Plumber vibes to Theo, and gentle hugs to sj.

The hall closet is almost empty and more than half of it is not coming with me. SO MANY SCHOOL SUPPLIES.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, ltc is asleep, and I should go to bed. But it is so quiet, I'm just going to enjoy it for a bit more. I can't wait for the holidays to be over. ltc is going to get so spoiled by everyone that I fear she is going to be impossible to deal with. TCG's current job is great, but he doesn't have a much vacation time as he used to have. So, I'll be solo parenting for much of her holiday break (and there is no karate until after New Year's either). t /scrooge

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Happy Solstice, everyone. Cards arrived today; thank you!

Bev, that was a gas station?!?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Huh -- I didn't even know Roto-Rooter existed around here.

I wonder if they will pick up the phone this early on a Sunday.

Our wings are not tired.

Ah, not the only early to rise Buffista. Is it something you can find on you tube or google, Theodosia?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am early is rising too, but I was watching a movie. I had a dream that my plumbing went crazy because of the Christmas Ornaments! There was water everywhere. Luckily, in my dream, the apartment was also at work, so I could call building maintenance

Our wings are not tired.

I went to sleep early. DH was up at 5:30 this morning because of a basketball tournament and I just decided to have some tea and read in bed. My son got a job at Walmart and has orientation this morning at 9. I'll Pick him up and bring him. Chances of this lasting improve if I drive him to work. He can bus home.

I am also up v early—heading to the airport. But because my alarm was set so early I slept horribly. Oh well. Hopefully the flight will be uneventful.
