Yes, I don't think I will ever be high born.
Msbelle, I didn't get a chance to say anything about your "letting go", but that was a sort of terrible way to do it
Theo- I am glad your nephew was deputized
I had my first ever professional manicure and acrylics tonight. I just got "covers" not tips so my nails are still super short, which I like. The place is literally across the street from my house, and my nails were totally shot from the cleaning, and then refinishing and buffing the woodwork. The woman was super nice, and a little bit of a kindred spirit (she refinished all the furniture in her place from 1940's/50's stuff and also thinks wearing gloves in the garden is silly, because then you can't feel the dirt)! It was also pretty affordable without the tips, so I may continue to go, but I had just wanted a cleanup so I didn't look like a crazy person with cherry wood stained nails at my office job!
PS Nephews/Godsons are great, but Aidan is still my outstanding gift. He may just be getting a gift card!
Tim's pre-mitral valve surgery imaging procedures are this morning, so please cross your fingers that the results give the go-ahead for a simple, minimally invasive procedure.
Good pictures ~ma for Tim. I know you will be relieved to have this behind you.
and sharp-eyed wunderkind that he is, noted that I'd misspelled my own name
Well, Theodosia is a bit to spell. (I knew a Theodosia in HS)
Sounds good, msbelle! I endorse Katie Bee's suggestion on the OTT cover letter to put you in the right frame of mind.
Here's hoping all goes well with Tim's surgery!
all good thoughts for Tim AND calm-ma to you.
Sophia, what does Aidan do for fun and what is he planning on studying?
Pre-surgery imaging ~ma for Tim!
Well,my org is definitely fast-paced and we're neither disorganized nor inefficient.
Can I come work with you??
msbelle, I would indeed be interested in coordinating on that. I need something to keep me accountable; I'm turning into a sloth. A hermit sloth.
Easy peasey routine procedure with best-possible-outcome -ma for Tim!
Procedure~ma to Tim.
Zen and msbelle, no set schedule for sleep or doing things was a big problem for me these past few months, and now I'm paying for it. Part of me knows I desperately needed the break, but another part of me knows that I will be a total sloth and hermit if I don't have external factors making me do things. TL;DR? I fully support your desire to have a schedule and if there's anything I can do to help, let me know.
Sophia, the (re)fills are always cheaper than a full set. I've been getting mine done since 1992 (!) and even when I didn't have a lot of money, I still got them done because it made me feel good to have pretty hands.
