I came home from work on Friday and immediately started getting a sore throat which got worse overnight (leading to me doing some work in the middle of the night because the pain woke me up so I figured I'd check my email...), basically stayed in bed all weekend with chills/fevers/aches&pains, and am working from home today. I am EXHAUSTED from the little biut of work I've done, so I guess that was the right call. Tomorrow is our offsite holiday meal, so I want to be there for that but it's gonna be tough...
Anyway, reading y'all's posts and responding in my head but not able to actual post responses right now due to lack of brain.

Oh no! That sounds like what's going around here, too, and it sounds brutal.
Oh no! I hope it is done and gone by tomorrow.
I printed out my holiday cards! Well, all but one since my printer ran out of ink and refuses to let me do the last one. Seriously printer!
I ordered my holiday cards. They should be ready by tomorrow. TCG sprung on me at the last minute that he had to go out to do his shopping after work today, and ltc is being difficult.
Timelies all!
Bleah. We had "wintry mix" overnight, and it's been raining all day. Also tired.
Oh joy, we're going to have that tomorrow. Starting with 3-5" of snow. Good times.
We bought the car. Put down payment today will get it Wednesday.
Kia Rio is a pretty nice car.
The new bad ongoing suck: my car battery was dead this morning, got a jump start drove 15 minutes to work. Came out battery dead again. Called around to a couple places realized I didn't have enough on my credit card to buy a battery tonight so said screw it and took a Lyft home. I'll get cash money out of the bank tomorrow to pay.
But in good news -- while waiting around for the jump start, I got through to the NJ Vital Records office, who assured me that I can delegate a *relative* to come and in-person acquire my birth certificate. And she was able to send me the Delegation of Authority form that I need to get notarized -- and emailing a scan to said relative is OK.
So now I just have to find a relative who has the free time -- could it be the nephew who is working Door Dash and would probably jump at the chance to make a nice amount of money driving 1/3 of the way across NJ to get my birth certificate? Stay tuned!
