Oh, msbelle! They may not know it now, but they are going to be sorry you were discarded like this. The institutional knowledge alone is worth keeping you on long enough to train your successor(s).
Ah well.
After going to several stationary and art stores around greater Camberville, I finally went to the closest one -- which is in Harvard Square about .9 of a mile from Youville. There's NO street parking anywhere near it, so I just said screw it and walked there through actual Harvard Yard and et cetera. And they had the Staedler Textsurfer highlighters that my resident needed for his special handmade holiday cards. Should have called them first and saved a lot of time!
I've trained her for a month and almost a half - that is probably as long as they would have gotten if they had waited to hire her until I got a job.
I wasn't even allowed to vote in any of the elections, nor the damned referendum, and the consequences affect me more than most. F*ck them all.
Ugh, Fiona, I'm so sorry. What a cluster.
Somehow the mini-flashmob actually happened at the office party which is one day before the office moves.
That is awesome!!
Work is over. Effective immediately. I handed over phone and company credit cards and was walked out.
Holy shit. Although I think in the long run it will be nice not to have to worry about that stupid job for now. Financial fingers crossed.
After several arduous weeks we got Matilda's application into School of the Arts.
Art School fingers crossed!!
New theme song for msbelle
I knew what this would be without clicking.

Bob Slate has what you need! I coulda told you that. (Although, did you happen to notice their boxed cards? I'm going there tomorrow regardless.)
I've been offline all day at a spa day, which was incredible! Also incredibly expensive. So possibly a once-in-a-lifetime situation.

Like when you got your hair cut on TV or cuddled up to Downtown Abbey cast members.
Correct! At least both of those were free.
What kind of spa day, jesse? I'm always curious because sometimes a "spa" seems like a place where you can buy a facial or a massage and nothing else, or maybe has one hot tub? But I always picture something more fancier.
Yeah, we went to a fancy hotel spa -- started in the hot tub (didn't get in the steam room), then a scrub and massage, then lunch, then a facial! There was a fair amount of lying around in the lounge, too.
Did you drink spa water? (aka, water with cucumbers in it)
