I've brought some of the decorations up. Safeway had winterberry branches, the pruning shears were in the storage cupboard down in the garage, and since I'd already moved a bunch of stuff to get at the box with the garden tools . . . .

I'm in theory working, but I think most of my practices are closed, or at least they aren't calling me.

We're doing Alton Brown's turkey tikka masala tomorrow

Oh! That looks good. I am doing a regular turkey, but brined in an orange juice concoction, because Florida.

I got cute paper table cloths with puzzles and coloring options and stuff and SIL is bringing crayons and markers. Also it is supposed to be a super nice day so I told people to bring bathing suits.

Good luck with the double dose of Thanksgiving, David! I hope the weather isn't too awful for the Buffistas. Seems a lot of the country is a mess.

DH told me he is bringing his basketball team here Friday to get all the Christmas stuff from storage and they are going to decorate for me. To understate, he does a lot for them, so for a bunch of pizza and drinks I'll get the manger scene set up, and a ton of lights on the house, and probably my fake tree assembled too!

I went to their first home game last night, and they won.

Turkey tikka masala and orange brined turkey both sound delish! We are having something called salt and pepper turkey breast from Whole Foods? I think it's just like regular roast turkey, but I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I also bought drumsticks and thighs that could be braised in red wine a la Serious Eats but I don't think we're going to do that tomorrow. It's going to be (1) 5K and It's-It (2) mimosas and warming up food made by someone else (3) dinner and wine (4) pie and tea. Probably with some football watching. Don't know what will be paired with that, though.

Announcement: I am enjoying my final cup of pumpkin spice coffee (brewed by me at work, anyway) for the year. Pretty good timing!

I am off work, but busy day.

Up with mac to get Dunkin and GO LOOK AT APARTMENTS FOR HIM!!!!! Plan is to make a decision in 2 days and put in applications Friday.

Then a Chiro appt for me, now at home packing my car with things to go drop off: box to mail, cat food to donate, plastic bags to recycle at grocery.

Waiting to start those errands because my brother and father are coming over to transfer the luggage rack from brother's car to mine.

So in the mean time I have been straightening up garage and packing a little bit (no complete boxes yet today). and cleaning up kitchen in prep for pie baking later.

Black Friday hell has started. Had to take a detour to work. The escalator is being repaired and so customers are getting flustered. Also it seems everyone needs like 2 or things done and are only mentioning it as soon as one thing is over.

Oh I have a return, oh I want to buy this oh I never you to look up my card. Oh I need to make a payment. I keep getting asked if I'm signing people up for credit cards and I'm trying but no one wants one or they just got one today or recently or they don't have their ID on them.

I'm only here until 445 today. Tomorrow we will have pizza for food. Friday it's bbq. And I have Sunday and Monday off. Sat will be busy but Clemson is playing at nook so maybe not as busy.

I need to hit the grocery store, but am hoping if I go soon, before lunch, it won't be too bad? I only need a couple things. I baked brownies last night, and have cookie dough resting in the freezer. Today I need to make pie. Tomorrow, green bean casserole.

Work wise, I had a ton of emails this morning and a surprising number of people are working, but not much is actually happening.
