Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, good luck figuring that out, Sue!

Hi Una! Yes pertussis boosters!!

I have and am testing out the "iWalk". Aka the peg leg. Getting ok at walking with it but it's. It actually super comfy? But may be a lot better on stairs than going up on my butt.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

My aunt went in for shoulder surgery this morning and her lung collapsed when they put her under. They're keeping her sedated for now and they'll try to re-inflate it tomorrow. I don't know why they can't re-inflate it now. It doesn't sound like they're worried she might die, but jesus christ.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I'm coming here to whine because it is unseemly. The college admissions letters are coming in and the posts are starting on FB and I will not get to participate in this celebration for my kid. College was such a huge thing in my life and it's just that he is not going to a 4 year school, it is that he has no interest in where he goes at all. He has not even investigated the path of least resistance local junior college that is the default. It is his lack of excitement to HEAD anywhere, to BECOME anything, no goals, no enthusiasm toward a step.

Our wings are not tired.

{{msbelle}} Neither of my boys did the college thing despite both parents being graduates. Don't understand it either.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sorry, msbelle. I hope he finds something to get excited about aiming towards.

Yikes, Dana! Presumably they know what they are doing?

I keep forgetting to get my flu shot. Maybe I'll go tomorrow after work, probably won't be very busy.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Resident microbiology professor (waves) chiming in with "yes, please everyone get your flu shot / mist!!!" And also make sure your pertussis vaccine is up to date. Basically, Get All The Vaccines (unless you're allergic).

I not only got a flu shot AND a Dtap booster, I also got to redo my MMR because New York State has laws about students and vaccines and my infant immunization records are filed away somewhere neither my mother nor I can find them. FUNSIES.

(OTOH there is a measles outbreak in Nyack right now so being over-vaccinated probably isn't a bad thing.)

How habit forming is ambien? I have a few from a travel prescription, and took one the other night and it was amazing. I slept great (it's been hard with the splint, and trying to keep the leg elevated, especially when I usually sleep on my side!) Previously the oxy worked to put me to sleep and take the pain away, but now it's more discomfort than pain, so that's not appropriate. So I was thinking of asking my doctor for some ambien to get me through some of this. But I don't want to get hooked on ambien.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Some people get hooked easily, meara, but it's never been an issue for me. I've had a prescription for years and usually fill it every six months or so. I would talk to your doctor about your concerns and see what's/he says.
