I'm so glad for you Sophia!
Gud, I'm so glad to hear from you. I wish you could see yourself from my perspective, and feel how much respect and confidence I have in you!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm so glad for you Sophia!

Gud, thank you for checking in! We worry about you. Please do find the time to call your company's EAP or another resource. We can help if you'll let us!
Congratulations, Sophia! We helped, but you did all the heavy lifting!
Ugh, billytea, I'm sorry.
Double yays, Sophia!!!
I love all your news, Sophia!!
Excellent news, and an excellent compliment, Sophia!
amyth, I'd love to be included on the WhatsApp group. Profile addy is good.
Good luck, bt, and his home continent.
Sophia, you absolute Star! Congratulations and wooHOO!
Billytea, I'm so sorry. I keep catching glimpses of the news--globally--I can't take more than glimpses, and I'm just horrified at the state of your country. Are you and all of yours safe? For now and the foreseeable future?
Sympathies for the caffeine deprived.
And amyth, every good possible thought streaming your way nonstop.
Gud, so good to hear from you. Please don't drop communication, we're all concerned about you.
And ltc, pleeeeease give your momma a break, okay kiddo? And get better, not just feel better. Both would be good.
Sophia, I'm in awe of everything you've accomplished, and so happy for you!
billytea, sending lots of sympathy from a US state that is all too frequently on fire.
sj, I'm sorry you're so wrung out but glad the doctor diagnosed it this fast--when Matilda had walking pneumonia a couple of years ago, it took her doctors forever to pin it down and get her on the meds she needed. I hope ltc and you both get some rest and recovery soon.
YAY Sophia!!
Things are afoot in the world of my family and job, but nothing about me getting a new job.

Well I appreciate that. We're ok - some of Sydney's outer suburbs are potentially at risk, and the city has serious smoke haze right now. But Melbourne (where I live) isn't currently threatened. The worst we've had is some air quality trouble - partly smoke, partly thunderstorm conditions and partly excess pollen. One of Ryan's classmates, who has asthma, was hospitalised on Wednesday. (He's fine now.)
Oh! Speaking of Ryan, he's decided to run for school captain. He's in Year 6 next year, and four boys and four girls will serve as captain (one of each per term). There's a vote among his classmates, apparently. He'll give a speech next week, which he's submitting today for teacher vetting. He wrote it all himself, and I have to say I think it's very good. He talks about how much he's received from the school, and he'd like the chance to give something back. He notes times he's represented the school already, and promises that he will be fair, even if it means standing up to his friends. (I believe him too; I've seen him do it before.)
