Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Dagnabbit, how do I make a fracking * at the start of a line? Can we add that to the Quick Edit section of the How To?

I need the ability to create footnotes in order to live.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

We're planning on doing a family update/photo card this year (because baby), so I would propose a "yes, please, mass mailings" list/checkbox, so people who would like to be on other Buffistas' end-of-year mailing lists can do that, as an add-on to the personalized card exchange.

Good to me to remind everyone to update contact info with one of us list keepers AND if you are unsure if you are on the list, I can let you know.

Msg on FB or email me.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

msbelle, I definitely need to update my mailing address, thank you for the reminder.

Buffista Holiday Card Exchange!

Basic rules:

1. Sign up by filling out the form.

2. Cards that are sent can be purchased or handmade, but should include a brief personal message (and not just a signature). Sometimes people include bookmarks, stickers, etc, but it is no way mandatory.

3. Select how many cards you would like to exchange from the ticky box. You will be matched up with the number you choose.

4. USians, let me know if international mail is okay for you to send or if you only want to send domestically (getting to the post office is challenging!)

5. Are religious cards okay for you or would prefer secular greetings only? Let me know and I'll let your exchangees know.

6. Your address and info will be only shared with your exchange partners UNLESS you opt in to the whole group list.

7. Some people are overachievers and send mail to more than their selected folks. If you want a copy of the everyone who opted into the whole group list, let me know and I will send that.

8. Cutoff for signups will be November 27 (the day before Thanksgiving) and cutoffs to send will be January 6, 2020.

9. Sometimes life happens and cards get forgotten. If you are willing to be a back up on 1-2 extra cards, can you let know? That way if someone doesn't get anything, we can get it covered.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thanks for doing this Kat and msbelle!

I signed up for five, because I found a box of the cutest card while going through boxes and bins on the back porch today

Maria came and helped me- we went through about 16 or so boxes. There are four ruined Aidan is just taking to the curb tomorrow. I ended up with about two shelves that I actually wanted to keep. I am glad she encouraged me to go through them because I did find some treasures! Pieces of my granma's jewelry and photos and letter and my childhood copies of Narnia and Anne of Green Gables books. I could not have done it without her- I am really useless at sorting and also carrying things down in any sort of efficient manner. She just sort of let me clean things, which she hates, while she opened boxes, threw out things that were destroyed, wiped down the books, and then asked me to tell her the ones I wanted to keep. I washed a bookcase, and a three drawe thing, and the windowsills and walls, and went through a couple boxes that were mostly just stuff I boxed up when I had to clean my apartment the last time! My contacts from over 15 years ago were in a box!!!!

Also, I cleaned my range hood thingie and replaced the filter which was disgusting. Dawn and baking soda paste and a brush worked really well. I don't know why can't seem to clean regularly when I actually like it. I hate picking up and sorting and organizing, but I find cleaning very satisfying.

Apparently, my abs have secretly been replaced with a bowl full of jelly. This becomes apparent and problematic when I try to take a "Pure Barre" class. Utter fail. I have back, ass, and thigh muscles, albeit not the best. But abs? Big nope.

I finally got espresso ground for my espresso machine...only to find it isn't working. I went and bought some descaler stuff, but nothing is coming through, and probably by trying several times the other day and now with this, I have melted it or something. No water comes through. Grr! There also doesn't seem to be a way to take it apart (and I've tried to clean/fix any parts I could, already)

That sounds frustrating Meara!

I was just logging in to Ravelry (online community for knitters/crochet era) and remembered that Connie Neil was close with a group there, but I have no idea which one, or what her name was there. And I haven't seen or heard from Anne Weber in ages, as maybe she would know.

Does anyone remember, because I am wondering if they know about her death.
