Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

May I offer a public service announcement? Don't drink and dance.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I would be up to an alternate exchange that doesn't require a visit to the post office.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

In favor of the group project: my current place is half the size of the Salt Lake house and we've had to adopt a "one in, one out" attitude towards stuff, I don't do a tree, and Mount Tsundoku is never going to be scaled at this rate.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

ornament exchange 1 ornament only

Seems a bit Christmas-only.

I like local Etsy or donations though.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I could manage an ornament, I think. I've whiffed on some previous exchanges. If I try concentrating on a very cute ornament instead of trying to tailor it obsessively to be the One Perfect Ornament That Will Change the Life of the Recipient, I could do it.

I am a gift-giving mess, generally.

I feel like it's hard enough for me to get/find/buy presents for folks in person. Yikes! Can't believe it's almost time for that!

Also, back at work, went through and deleted 1000 emails. But next steps are training, and apparently I'm not yet updated in the system so can't access it, and open enrollment for next years health. Ack!! I can figure out that one plan is better if I go to the out of pocket max. But the only time I've managed that was last year when I blew past it with the hospital stays! This year even with all the PT and stuff, I'm close but no dice. But better plan when maxing is a high deductible and requires paying for meds at 20%, so if I don't mac, I think that one would be worse. Decisions!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

It's nowhere near what Sofia is doing, but I did manage to sort through and recycle a pile of mail today and pay some bills. Slow progress on the clutter.

Fuck Cancer! I just got an email that the former director of ltc's school passed away this week. She was such a lovely woman who made me feel so comfortable starting ltc in the toddler program 2 years ago, and she was only 66.

SOPHIA!! you just have done amazingly well through all this and setting up a day for the young man to take out things for you is wonderful. Sorry work is still a cluster.
