Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

I feel like it's hard enough for me to get/find/buy presents for folks in person. Yikes! Can't believe it's almost time for that!

Also, back at work, went through and deleted 1000 emails. But next steps are training, and apparently I'm not yet updated in the system so can't access it, and open enrollment for next years health. Ack!! I can figure out that one plan is better if I go to the out of pocket max. But the only time I've managed that was last year when I blew past it with the hospital stays! This year even with all the PT and stuff, I'm close but no dice. But better plan when maxing is a high deductible and requires paying for meds at 20%, so if I don't mac, I think that one would be worse. Decisions!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It's nowhere near what Sofia is doing, but I did manage to sort through and recycle a pile of mail today and pay some bills. Slow progress on the clutter.

Fuck Cancer! I just got an email that the former director of ltc's school passed away this week. She was such a lovely woman who made me feel so comfortable starting ltc in the toddler program 2 years ago, and she was only 66.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I've missed a lot of commenting back to people (skimmer)

- hope the day continues to go well meara - welcome back to work.

Laura, sorry things are stressy.

sj - hope ltc gets out her stuff at school and is easy peasy when she comes home - also go you on clearing paper.

SOPHIA!! you just have done amazingly well through all this and setting up a day for the young man to take out things for you is wonderful. Sorry work is still a cluster.

Fred - glad you are enjoying venturing into dating life again.

Seems a bit Christmas-only.

Jessica, you are correct. Thank you for bringing that up.

Thanks, msbelle. She's been good this afternoon. When she is still tired in the morning there is just no reasoning with her.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I had my performance evaluation... last week? It was a positive review and I was told that I was irreplaceable, which is both a good and a bad thing to hear. Sure, I have job security, but that means the work fairy constantly is taking enormous shits on my desk. I have a gaggle of new people I'm trying to train. I'm starting to make threats every time someone tries to give me anything new to do this quarter. For work stuff and non-work stuff, I have people chasing me down to do stuff that is important to them but not a priority for me, and I'm too exhausted to figure out how to communicate that kindly.

And yet I still chose to sign up for Yuletide.

Ugh, Shrift. That sounds very stressful.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

SO Mr. S has been getting up the same time as us the last few days, where he used to sleep a little later. I blame the time change, and the fact that it is no longer pitch black at 6:30.
