Take jobs as they come -- and we'll never be under the heel of nobody ever again. No matter how long the arm of the Alliance might get, we'll just get ourselves a little further.

What is even happening?

Depending on where you get the dowel, you might be able to get someone there to cut it for you. If you bring one of the dowels that came with the bed into a place that sells some lumber (or that demos some of the power tools it sells), they might do it for you.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Luxuriate in your bed, Sophia!

The best thing I've done in the past few days is rearrange my study so that my easy chair is set up for reading with my legs comfortably propped and delicious beverage and/or snacks close to hand. I can listen to music or stream video on my computer, so yay.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay, bed! fwiw, I have one of those mail-order memory foam mattresses and I love it, I hope you'll love yours too!

I need a new comfy chair for the living room, because the one I bought last year from Wayfair is already uncomfortable. Lesson learned, never buy a comfy chair you haven't sat in.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay bed!

For the future, my hardware store sells those pegs. I just had to tell them what I needed -- I also thought I would have to approximate!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

There's an Open Artist Studio tour in my area, so a friend and I checked out a few. People do amazing things. There was a bunch of blown glass that was so lovely and colorful I wanted to lick it. (I refrained.)
