Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It is pleasing me to think how much pleasure she took in placing that action figure order. It was the responsible financial decision!

Yes, I think this.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh David. That is sweet about her post. I always love the things you post to me because it makes me feel seen, like I have a little footprint in the world

I cannot figure out how to put this Leesa bed together! I think maybe I am supposed to have pegs of some sort. Maria and Aidan are coming over later to help!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary has taken Mr. S downtown for the Nationals parade. I wished him luck as they left.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm avoiding going out at all costs today. It really is a beautiful day, but I think it's going to be nuts downtown and everywhere else! Congrats to the Nats and all, but yesh.

I really think I am missing a part! At 4 I am going to buy a dowel and a saw!

What is even happening?

Depending on where you get the dowel, you might be able to get someone there to cut it for you. If you bring one of the dowels that came with the bed into a place that sells some lumber (or that demos some of the power tools it sells), they might do it for you.

Ok

So Maria too the rescue, the pegs were In The bEd, she hammered them out of the side lates and built the bed! I have a bed! With a sheet set and bed in a bag.

We took out some recycling and Aidan will come tomorrow to take the rest.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, bed!!!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Luxuriate in your bed, Sophia!

The best thing I've done in the past few days is rearrange my study so that my easy chair is set up for reading with my legs comfortably propped and delicious beverage and/or snacks close to hand. I can listen to music or stream video on my computer, so yay.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay, bed! fwiw, I have one of those mail-order memory foam mattresses and I love it, I hope you'll love yours too!

I need a new comfy chair for the living room, because the one I bought last year from Wayfair is already uncomfortable. Lesson learned, never buy a comfy chair you haven't sat in.
