It really is horrible, Gris. Brazil has so much going for it, but it has been destroyed and bled dry by corruption for so long.

I'm sorry for you, Gris, and the people of Brazil, but it's kind of a nice reminder of how often we in the US have had two basically decent choices....
I wasn't watching the Red Sox last night, but am still sleepy today, so am hoping I will be camouflaged by baseball fans! I was basically standing up from noon to 6 yesterday, between a trans rights rally and the regular band session, and that takes a lot out of me! Is it weird that walking fast makes me less tired than standing still?

Not at all. I think standing upright without walking is harder on your back and legs.
One of the other school mom's is very upset today and meeting with the school about what she sees as security issues. I hate this.
I'm sorry, sj. Is the school at a Jewish organization?
Yes. They had two bomb threats before ltc went there right after the election but nothing since. We thought about all of this before we sent her there, and decided we wouldn't let fear keep her from such a wonderful school. But I am worried.
Oh dear, sj. I hope that all works out okay.
I agree, standing is more tirung than walking.
There's a Planner at Nordstrom named Jessica Jones. I imagine it's not that uncommon a name, but still, picturing Krysten Ritter at Nordstrom's head office is pretty amusing.
I decided that one day of costume wearing at the office is not enough so I am dressed all piratical today. it's not terribly far from how I usually dress, but I've gotten some positive comments so far.
Standing is far more exhausting and painful for me than walking.
I'm sorry, sj. As if kid school decisions aren't hard enough.
Yes, my body much prefers moving to standing.
I am not costumed. Alas.
DH has gone to the DMV with one of our basketball kids to sign over my car to him. I was going to give the car to my son, but that didn't happen. I have told him for over a year what he needed to do that would result in getting my car handed over to him. Never even made an effort. Oh well. Kid getting the car is partly paying, partly trading labor. He goes off to North Dakota for School in January so the vehicle will have to be winterized before he leaves, but generally the car is in great shape and he is thrilled. It's been a great car, but 7 years and 120,000 miles later I am ready to say bye.
Also, apparently the world has still gone mad so I am avoiding it.
I am glad to hear my body is typical! At least for this sample.
