Standing is far more exhausting and painful for me than walking.

I'm sorry, sj. As if kid school decisions aren't hard enough.
Yes, my body much prefers moving to standing.
I am not costumed. Alas.
DH has gone to the DMV with one of our basketball kids to sign over my car to him. I was going to give the car to my son, but that didn't happen. I have told him for over a year what he needed to do that would result in getting my car handed over to him. Never even made an effort. Oh well. Kid getting the car is partly paying, partly trading labor. He goes off to North Dakota for School in January so the vehicle will have to be winterized before he leaves, but generally the car is in great shape and he is thrilled. It's been a great car, but 7 years and 120,000 miles later I am ready to say bye.
Also, apparently the world has still gone mad so I am avoiding it.
I am glad to hear my body is typical! At least for this sample.
Does NBC put shows on YouTube after broadcast? I really don't want to download the NBC app, but I want to see the Wicked 15th anniversary special.
I think everything I watch from NBC I get through Hulu
I have the YouTube.tv subscription so I save stuff to watch there.
Typical situation for DH as mentor. Go to take care of transferring car to kid. First stop, insurance company. Insurance is cancelled. It isn't actually in kid's name as he just pays his uncle $150 a month. Uncle didn't pay the bill. So forget that insurance company, he decides to just go get the kid his own insurance. Do you have your license with you? Heck no, he doesn't even have a license, just a learner's permit. They have now gone to take his driving test to get him a license.
ltc's after school class was canceled today, but no one bothered to tell me until I should have already picked her up. So of course I see a call from the school and freak out a bit. ltc is cranky about no class, I'm still shaky, and now I have to reschedule my inlaws weekly visit because it conflicts with her rescheduled class. So we're getting ice cream.
My niece and nephew are fine, but there was a single fatality shooting at their school today.
Oh sj, it is all just too much.
I tried watching a bit of news and the newscasters couldn't hold it together talking about the victims in Pittsburgh, then I lost it. The violence and loss is just so overwhelming.
Oh man, sj. You need ice cream.
Laura, those kids are so lucky to have you and DH in their lives! (I mean, this kid today, but I know there are many others.)
