Lydia: Its removal from Burma is a felony and when triggered it has the power to melt human eyeballs. Giles: In that case I've severely underpriced it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You are so welcome! It is literally the least we can do.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I guess literally the least we could do is nothing, but the point stands.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

concerned pug

The image of you as a concerned pug is freaking ADORABLE.

Because books.

calmed me down from rabid chihuahua to concerned pug.

This is the cutest thing ever. And I am also so wonderfully proud of you. You attacked this problem! And I think therapy will be a lot different now than in your 20s, if you're anything like me.

Also, I wish I could send you Brendon Urie singing Disney songs, just because.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Go, Sophia! You've been a very productive concerned pug.

The fires are so very worrisome. We really need an Unfuck Your Climate plan.

Thanks for all the birthday happies!

I'm still angry about the Trump visit. He essentially invited himself in, shat on the carpet, and walked away with a bunch of the silver.

I did see many people headed toward the tower with protest signs as I was headed out for my rental pickup. That cheered me a little. Coming back in I was routed to Lower Wacker which I haaaate. I don't know where I am when I'm down there.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Happy belated, aurelia!

Our wings are not tired.

I was super delighted at the Trump chanting at the baseball game, and as usual the Borowitz report on it. [link]

When I left Otter Lake I packed my fridge stuff, like pickles and butter and such into a styrofoam container from one of my food deliveries and a bunch of frozen cold packs. It was in the bed of the truck for 3 days, 2 of which were full sun 80-90 degrees. I expected a mess when I opened it, but it was still cold!!! Butter firm and everything. In the past I just gave all the stuff away, but this year I only gave my freezer stuff away. Coolness.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I was listening to NPR on the way in to work, and man, Ramesh Srinivasan was name checking his new book every second sentence. For a bit I was wondering if the station had changed to a QVC broadcast and he was going to tell the audience that operators are standing by for their orders.

Our wings are not tired.

Sometimes the "in my book" mentions are hysterically forced and awkward.
