Thrive to spite them

WS you have to take care of your self first. Like the instructions for airplane oxygen masks...get yourself secured and then help others.

Also what you do every day for this in your care is amazing. You bring so much joy and light to the world.

I haven't done anything for get out the vote. Except bug Matthew about voting.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{WS}}} What everyone else said.

msbelle's advice also made my allergies act up.

Good luck Shir! That's a very long time to be there, I hope it all goes well.

So depressed by this week in this country. So much violence and hatred.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Shir, that is a tough job but it is so important.

I... am recognizing this urge to say "stop being kind and understanding to me!" as a symptom of the anxiety. In a better time I may be able to chalk it up as a victory.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

It's absolutely a victory, WS. It means you can take a step back and realize that what your anxiety is telling you isn't necessarily the truth.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

That is a huge victory, WS! You most definitely deserve kindness and understanding.

hip deep in pie

(((((Wind Sparrow)))))

Sue, I must not have reloaded the page before you posted the above. Are you sure it's not Chicken Pox, then? Do you have a fever?

Nope. It's a rash in two blotches and other than a headache on Friday and being kind of tired, no real other symptoms. I keep waiting to feel sicker, but nothing yet.

Topic!Cindy - Oct 28, 2018 11:32:32 am PDT #1277 of 30019
What is even happening?

Good. Keep not feeling sicker.

I asked my mom about her Shingles. They did not cross the center line.

She said she just had the pain, but didn't feel otherwise sick. When she finished the anti-virals, she also stopped taking the prescription pain med. She mentioned to her doctor that she hadn't been taking her Ativan (tranquilizer) and he told her to take it, because it acts on the nerve endings. From what she recalls, that helped more than anything else.

I hope you continue to feel good and that it passes quickly.

Hey. New board.

I left the US partially to escape Trump and now Brazil has elected its own demagogue. Blech.

Being unable to speak the language means I have my own bubble pretty firmly intact, a nice layer of insulation for my own mental health, but some of my co-workers are not going to be in a good place at ALL tomorrow. And students will be divided. Sigh.
