Never heard of lumpia either. They might want to think about changing the name.

I'm sure it sounds pleasanter if you speak Tagalog
Lumpia are delicious! (Or should that be lumpia IS delicious? Not sure)
I think I would go with "is", meara. And YES, lumpia is delicious! I always get a big order of it for potlucks and parties - and never see any leftovers!
Sigh..it's official. Mr. S has been disenrolled from his preschool due to his behavior. He still has PEP, but I don't know what we're going to do otherwise.
I'm so sorry, Sheryl.
I'm sorry, Sheryl.
Oh no, Sheryl, I'm sorry! Good luck finding the next thing. (My boss's kid goes to a special school pretty far away for kids with behavioral issues, but she's in school.)
Saw my aunt and uncle on my moms side for the first time in 10 years or more (I think I saw her last 9 years ago; him it's been even longer) and the first few things my aunt said to me included "is your hair naturally curly?" (Yes,, has been forever...) Oh, you don't wear glasses anymore?" (I had eye surgery, but even before that wore contacts?) and "your skin is clear!" (Um...I am 42?? And I don't think I had more zits than any other teenager?). It's making me laugh, just how stuck at like 12 I apparently am, in her brain.
I'm sorry, Sheryl. I hope you can find another solution soon.
Oh, meara, I know people like this. It can become difficult when they insist on keep talking to the version-of-you that they remember.
