Yeah I am feeling super great!
Not at all having an anxiety attack.
Nope, just super chill.
Sent my boss a "hey, if you don't mind me asking, what's the plan here?" Email.
Also doing nothing but applying to jobs for the rest of the day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Ay, msbelle. I was going to complain about having to actually physically go into the office this afternoon, but never mind.
Jfc, msbelle! (That reminds me! I owe you an edit on your resume!)
Meep, msbelle!
Also, roustabout! Nice! I was just thinking today how I used to know a stevedore.
Today I drove The Bus on a hour-long Fall Foliage Tour.. at least as much color as a half-hour's distance from the city allows, anyway. It seems that the 'season' moves a couple of days later every year around here.
At least I can take pride in supplying a smooth and safe ride. We covered 15 miles or thereabouts, much of it not on the highway. Driving the bus for an hour straight is kind of exhausting, just the steering wheel itself is significantly bigger than a girly little sedan one, so there's more muscle involved in turning it!
And msbelle, I grrrr on your behalf. It will serve them right when a bunch of routines just fall apart when you leave, because you are one of those workers who act as oil on the gears of Getting Things Done.
Yikes, msbelle!!
Boss says they are not kicking me out, just hiring so there is sufficient training. He did this super poorly and I think the hire is someone he knows.
There is no plan, I'll tell you what.
He is saying her first day will not be until 10/28. Good thing because we have no offices at the moment. Also they plan to have her office 45 min away from where I office (I support 3 locations).
It's a whole mess and I am now motivated to get the fuck out.
Yeah, that doesn't sound like a smooth transition waiting to happen.
Reminds me of my friends newish job, kind of similar to yours, actually (she's office support for a drilling company) - they hired her saying she'd be assisting the person already in the office, trained her for maybe a month, maybe less, then moved the person training her to Sacramento. Now nobody really knows what she's supposed to be doing most of the time, least of all her.
