I took the Big Scary Bus all the way over to the Beth Israel and back without incident -- I swear I was more stressed on the "scouting trip" with a normal-sized car to work out the route (no too-short underpasses).
Tomorrow I do it with an Actual Passenger in the back.
I'll have my SIL send you some big~bus~ma. She drives city bus for NYC in Manhattan. She's totally chill about it.
I did some work, ate lunch, and now I'm AGAIN expected to do more work?
So wrong.
My original intent was to head back to NY on the 4th, but my plate is still way too full. Not sure how I am going to manage this. I need a cloned me so bad.
Go Theo!
Getting-stuff-off-your-plate~ma, Laura
Work expectations should not be so, I don't know, very
Good job, Theo!
We were told that it is now new leader
acclimation,
not assimilation, but the meeting invite DEFINITELY said assimilation. Anyway, it was kind of fun -- a medium sized group of colleagues giving our opinions.
I guess if they aren't coming right out and saying that you will be assimilated it's ok
Apparently he's the one who is supposed to be assimilated!
Ooooh, that's entirely different!
Either way, I'm shopping for my eye piece.
I also was sent on a shopping trip to buy nearly $300 of beer and wine at Trader Joe's. I had to text my manager three times because I have very little idea of whether if, for instance, Yuengling Lager should be considered 'beer' and which of several varieties of red wine should be bought. And I had to get a manager to help me find the non-alcoholic beer, which was actually over in the juice aisle...
I needed two carriage trips out to the car to carry it all, and I let Husky Young People actually load and unload it on both ends of the trip.
