Oh, this is going real smoothly.

I'm pretty far behind on watching.

Drive tomorrow and Tuesday. Stay in Florida though the next Thursday. Drive back Friday and Saturday. Get back here Saturday evening the 5th. It is only possible because of the cancellation of the one dog class so whirlwind trip. I have quite a few things I need to do in Florida that will be much easier in person. So zoom.

I had no idea it was Emmy time.

Not a great weekend. I made progress on the cabinet I'm making for my wife's business.

It's not great. Some more staining and adjusting the hinges could make it better, but she says she'd rather have the cabinet as is instead of waiting for me to fix the flaws and stain the adjustable shelving. But the big screw up was that I thought she had decided an undivided cabinet would be fine, but I must have mis-remembered and she wanted it divided with differently keyed locks on each side. She's still going to use it, but I screwed things up like normal. Then I screwed up again when my son scraped his car against my daughter's car. I think I can fix it up with a paint pen, but like my wife pointed out if I had gone to the grocery store instead of him this wouldn't have happened. It's just, I really don't like going to the grocery store and he volunteered to go. Sometimes I'm just selfish. So lots of mistakes and the fact that I'm a terrible person combining to screw things up for the family. I wish I could be somebody else or just not be sometimes.

If your son scraped your daughter's car, it is not on you. Dear Gud. I wish you could appreciate yourself like we do.

A person so exacting.. or whose memory is that bad (or if I suspected mine was), I'd get complicated tasks in writing. I'm serious.

Gud, my jaw actually dropped at this part. This is not, in any way, your fault! There is something wrong with the person who looks for any tiny nonsensical reason to blame everything on you.

DH had to watch the Emmys for work, otherwise I would have turned them off. The production choices were cringeworthy beyond belief. Thomas Lennon, WTAF.

Gud your wife expects you to do almost everything around the house yourself and to never make a mistake. And if someone else makes a mistake it is your fault as well. And she expects you to do that when you are sick (remembering your past posts).

Her expectations are not rational or grounded in reality.
