Good luck, Dana!
Hills are great! They make for variety in scenery.

I would be fucking ecstatic if we could move to Pittsburgh.
Ugh, Pittsburgh has hills?
Lots of hills and bridges.
I have had A Morning. I finally dragged myself out of bed and got on the train to work at my office downtown. I would have worked from home, but they're doing emergency work in my building and the water will be shut off from 9am-3pm. Halfway to work, we're told there's a power outage in the subway. So we all pile off the train and walk to Market Street where we're told there's a shuttle bus waiting for us. This is a lie. As we're milling around waiting, a streetcar pulls up, and before it gets to the stop, some angry dude harangues the streetcar operator, like that's going to achieve anything. The streetcar, predictably, is packed full but people try to get on anyway. Eventually we hear that the power is back on, and so we all pile back into the subway to get on one of the other trains that go downtown.
And now I'm supposed to do work and not be wildly cranky with everyone.
Over 1000 bridges! It really is very pretty with all the rivers. They even have a cable car up the mountain where you can view the pretty city.
Ugh, shrift. I'd be super cranky.
Oh, man, shrift. I'm sorry.
Yikes, shrift.
Call went well. Turned out just to be the woman he'd be replacing, so he hasn't talked to the actual hiring manager yet. So far, signs are all good, but god knows what will happen.
It was more of the human experience than I was prepared to deal with pre-coffee.
Where upstate?
Oswego. It's north of Syracuse. And less than an hour from where my niece lives, which would be nice. Since the niece had her baby, my sister is there monthly, so family-wise it's nearly as good as moving to Michigan.
shrift, that's a heck of a start to the day. I hope the rest is better.
