I went to Pittsburgh earlier this year and I loved it.

Pittsburgh is an awesome city.
Crossing all fingers, Dana!
As some of you have heard, we've had this elections thing on Tuesday. While Bibi's party isn't the largest party anymore, it's still unclear who will be the next PM and how the next government will look like. I'm tiny bit hopeful but still very concerned. It's been a bad political decade here, to say the least.
(I was also a secretary in this election round, so I got to stay up for 23 hours straight because this is how it works here. One of the committee members of where I was stationed was a less bright version of an Emily Gilmore that I had to restrain myself from strangle every time she tried to keep people from voting, but the nonsense prize absolutely goes to the hundreds of other secretaries and committee members who stood in line with me in the end of the night, glued to their screens and taking the exit polls' results very seriously, all while holding the actual results of elections in their hands).
Shir, that whole thing looks like a mess! Sorry.
My concern with Pittsburgh is only the weather, and the thought of moving yet again. But actual health benefits and husband's state of mind are way more important.
RIP Grandpa Mason.
I hope you feel better soon, sj.
Job~ma to your DH, Dana!
I have a massage tonight, a possible car purchase tomorrow, and a phone interview for a job in upstate NY next Wednesday. And the f-ing heat has gone away for a while here, so I'm feeling all kindsa perky.
Our 6-year wedding anniversary is tomorrow (how has it been 6 years already?!?), and because I'm trying to score maximum Wife Points, we're camping this weekend with Tim's family. For 2 nights. (We've camped with them before, but it's always been 1 night. I genuinely can't remember the last time I camped for more than 1 night. It was probably when I was a Girl Scout.)
Lord help me.
Apparently everyone else is taking our office manager's vacation as a chance to be tardy/play hooky. I'm normally the fourth person to the office in the morning, but today I was the first, and at least two co-workers will be bugging out at lunchtime.
You want me to open, you gots to pay the price! cranks thermostat down until people in pictures on the walls start huddling together for warmth

When I lived in Pgh the freezing rain was an issue on the super steep hilly roads. That said, it was one of the best experiences I ever had as far as wonderful neighbors and things to do. Incredible pride in their city and mass participation and support of the arts, and sports of course. Every single time I said I was new to the city, which was often as I got lost all the time, the person would exclaim how much I was going to love Pittsburgh. I had to hear it hundreds of times, and that positive attitude kinda wears off on a person.
Full list there, Calli! Job~ma. Where upstate?
Shir, it really does look very messy. I hope some reasonable coalition comes together.
Teppy, think smores!
Ugh, Pittsburgh has hills? Boo.
