Laura I think when most people talk about social internet they mean when when Facebook and Twitter got popular. Maybe MySpace. Rather than message boards and mailing lists, IRC , etc

By any chance, is today Erika's birthday, too?
Yesterday.
By any chance, is today Erika's birthday, too? In my head, it's today or close to today.
Yesterday!
Oh, I'm sorry I missed it.
Happy belated birthday, Erika!

In a similar blast from the past, a NSFW tumblr blog I follow has been tagging explicit posts #lemon. Remember the citrus scale?
Calli, as someone who was in anime fandom in the 90s and 00s, that's a ...splash... from the past!
One Direction!?!?! Good lord.
Jesse, Morton Salt Girl is great, I'm just sorry I couldn't put a word in for Got Milk, since my sister worked on it for a while.
Things I have done today: returned stuff to two stores, went to the drugstore, post office, and bank, got T-Mobile to make my SIM an eSIM so I can maybe buy a local one while traveling, currently waiting for a pedicure.
Things I haven't done: pack.
Also amused that the T-Mobile employee was looking at a website on how to do the eSIM transfer, and when she gave my phone back to me, I saw it was...Reddit. Not the official T-Mobile web page of something. Lol! It worked?
Rest well and in honor, Grandpa Mason.
That's hilarious, meara.
I am planning how to get to the stadium for the football game on Sunday and I'm really glad I looked at the official website ebcause I had no idea about all these restrictions on what yo can bring in. I mean, I guess I had heard something about it but I hadn't paid any attention and it's basically, like, just don't carry anything if possible. Which I can probably manage, just bring my phone and credit cards, but that's a long time to be without my beloved high tech water bottle. Especially since we are going for an up to 6 mile walk before hand and on the way...
Happy belated, erika!
I finished the last of my cold brew coffee this morning, so I refilled the rumble jar. I'm off work tomorrow (my final 9/80 day off of the year, alas) so I want to bring said jar home with me, so it's sitting on my desk just to the right of my peripheral vision. Every time I turn my head that way there's more brown filling the jar from the bottom and less transparent remaining on top. It's kind of neat, almost like a really slow and placid lava lamp.
