I'm thinking I don't know what "social internet" means and if I did maybe that would make more sense?

Ooh, the Morton Salt girl is perfect!
There were fan groups operating via BBS in the early 80s. Not sure where I would define the line for social internet.
LOL. This is suddenly reminding me of several of my friends who got into some gay tv shows and suddenly are finding out about fan culture, and are shocked when I know things about fanfic and shipping and whatnot. I'm like "Sure, I don't watch YOUR show, but...y'all. Been there and done that, read the stories and LITERALLY had the t-shirt"
"Gather 'round the campfire, children, and hear my tale of the Great Ray/Ray Wars!"
Bwah, Matt! Oh, the tales we could tell...
Morton salt girl is excellent
Coincidentally, the dance routine I'm currently learning is with parasols and it has totally been making me feel like Mary Poppins and Amelia Peabody and various Gail Carriger characters but now I'm going to consciously consider channeling the Morton salt girl some of the time
By any chance, is today Erika's birthday, too? In my head, it's today or close to today.
Laura I think when most people talk about social internet they mean when when Facebook and Twitter got popular. Maybe MySpace. Rather than message boards and mailing lists, IRC , etc
