Cat Herding was for EDS, which seems not to have survived, even if they had a great commercial.

It will be up to a week and a half to hear back from UPS as they do a background check and the job would be part time, 15-25 hours a week Sun-Thurs 10am - 5:30pm shifts where you may not always work the full shift, but would work at least 3 hours. He'll need a car quickly as that will be hard to manage pick up and drop off while I am working at it is located 30 min away.

I have a friend from high school who started working for UPS part time when he was probably around 19. He's actually still there, gets really good benefits, and makes a decent wage. It's a union job, so once he makes it past the probation period there's good protection on it. He'll have to turn up on time and do the work, but if he can manage that, then it might be a good place. There is also usually a lot of opportunity to pick up extra hours when they are in their peak season, which is pretty much Mid November through December.
