Do the Outpost.com commercials count as famous?
Maybe to someone, but I don't know them. But someone has already signed up for something I don't know what it is! I realize all I can think of are classic 70s/80s commercials and the children I work with might not even know them!
Timelies all!
Sigh...Mr. S didn't fall asleep until almost 10, and has been acting up all day.
Kids might be able to appreciate certain commercial characters without context:
They're grrrrr-eat!
Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids.
They're always after me Lucky Charms.
"It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!"
I just remembered! Not a famous commercial, but the character and the tune are.
Pink Panther Flakes...are pink
Sigh...Mr. S didn't fall asleep until almost 10, and has been acting up all day.
I feel his/your pain. I read until around 1AM, was exhausted, and then was completely unable to fall asleep when I tried. Rinse and repeat. My body was like, oh, you think you're going to sleep now? Good luck with that when every single position you lie in somehow manages to cut off blood flow to your arm.
For those who anticipate this time of year, the Pumpkin Spice must flow.
Mac has been in UPS 2 hours!
That sounds promising!
Was Outpost.com the herding cats one?
Cat Herding was for EDS, which seems not to have survived, even if they had a great commercial.
It has its own Wikipedia entry.
Oh, and a detail from the entry:
Trainers taught the cats to swim by starting them out in one-quarter inch of water, then gradually building the pool to swimming depth. . . . Since we were shooting in nippy weather, our 'river' was actually a small pool warmed by a portable heater, like a little cat Jacuzzi.[2]
