Hivemind- I'm making food to take to friends who just had a sprog. I'm trying to think of things easy to eat while holding a baby, so I'm doing hand pies for dessert. But it's a question of size. Should I make them larger, so it's like a slice of pie in one (think Mickey D's apple pie) or smaller bite sized (like two bites)?

I would think smaller, so when she has to put it down quickly it's likely to make a mess--or she can stuff it all in her mouth.
For dessert? Smaller, I think. If it were a main course, then bigger. But it's also nice to be able to have just a couple bites of dessert? (Though I'd consider the crust-to-filling ratio carefully)
Timelies all!
Well, Mr. S's first day at PEP went well. Still haven't heard from the school.(We had the nanny drive him to PEP and pick him up. This is obviously not a good long-term solution, as the agency is expensive.)
Glad to hear that you have a short-term thing that works, at least, Sheryl!
Applied for a job somewhat on a whim a couple weeks ago. Could be interesting but not sure I'd want it. Willing to find out more. They just called (yay) and informed me the first step is for me to record a video answering some questions. Wtf. Is this really the new way? Not just a telephone interview? Ugh.
For your amusement, this dog. We have a one-hour mandatory (re)training session on Wednesday right before a two-hour conference call ... I'm thinking of trying this tactic.
Though I'd consider the crust-to-filling ratio carefully
It's pecan, which is pretty sweet, so can stand a high crust to filling ratio. Because the crust is the best part.
I'm a big fan of bite-sized pies.
Askye, you're being more than reasonable. Recovery~ma to your mother.
Sue, I'm glad you're safe.
Sheryl, I'm glad you have a short term plan and hope you can find a long term solution.
Referring back to an earlier conversation, my stomach tolerated Starbucks coldbrew fairly well but Dunkin Donuts coldbrew not at all.
