It's 8:30 am and I've already had the "no mom you are not driving today " argument twice.
Mom wants to drive and she is afraid the hospital will have her car towed. Even though they said it was fine being there. I'm going home today to get some things and Matthew is coming up so we will get her car then.
The discharge papers said she can resume normal activities. But when I went back to clarify they said she needs to at the very least wait until I can ride with her and see how she does. I've told her I would feel more comfortable to wait until at least the physical therapist comes the first time.
Mom's argument is she drove herself to the ER and she did "fine" (she didn't get into a wreck I don't know how well she drove) so she is ok to drive. No one thinks what she did was a good idea.
I now feel like I am being an unreasonable bitch .
Sometimes being an unreasonable bitch is actually the most reasonable course of action!
I've arrived 17 minutes early for my work orientation, so I'm pausing to catch my breath. 28 minute walk at a comfortable place, past a bunch of shops and restaurants and stuff.
You are not being unreasonable! You are being 100% reasonable.
For real estate comparisons, here's a similar price near me: [link]

You're not being unreasonable at all. It would be irresponsible and potentially dangerous for her to drive until a doctor or physical therapist can give her the all-clear.
I'm not moving, but "Lauraville" does have a certain appeal.
There's something weird about sharing your name with a nearby town. I live within driving distance of a Frederick, a Fredericksburg, and not one but two Frederick Counties.
Hey all. Had a hurricane, lost power for just about 30 hours. Otherwise no more damage for me beside I few crushed flowers.
Other parts of the city are still without power because some very large trees fell on power lines. This is the first direct hit we've had by a hurricane in 15 years, and I hope that interval between stays that long. This one was much less fierce and destructive thankfully.
I'd not be a good survivalist. Even though i had lots to amuse me that didn't require power, I was super restless waiting for everything to be restored.
Askye is 100% reasonable. I can write a letter saying so.
Glad you are safe and sound, Sue.
ION - not one person at work has asked me how my trip went or said one thing to me about 1) closing on a house 2) kicking out my son.
Yeah, I need out of here.
Hope all is put back to normal quickly, Sue.
Good grief, msbelle. That is really odd. Are your parents still out of town? I was wondering if Mac was going to contact them.
