I'm sorry, -t. Very upsetting stuff.
BIL's Bahamian family is safe, although significant damages to property. They don't even know the full extent yet. They've been communicating via WhatsApp throughout the whole storm and now. Sending horrific pictures. Part of the issue is going to be the airports being trashed, and roads of course. Even getting help to people will be very difficult for some time.
I'm sorry, -t. Even if you don't get reduced, that's a rough situation to be in.
I'm glad your Bahamian relatives are ok, Laura.
Ok, this is ridiculous. I didn't have any phone service near the lake or at the visitors center but I do at my campsite? Minimal. But still! I feel less camp-y.
Timelies all!
Got a call from the school at 10:30 that Mr. S was hitting, spitting and throwing things, and that I should come get him. Later, the principal called to say he was suspended. I'm trying to arrange a meeting with Gary and myself to discuss strategy, We also hoping to bring the teacher from Mr. S's PEP program in on it.
Today has not been good.
No, it hasn't.
Looks like I'm to come in for orientation on Monday, though, since I passed my background check, so there's that!
Oh, Sheryl. I'm sorry.
Yay, Theo!
You could put your phone in airplane mode and pretend, meara? That's pretty funny. Reminds me of walking around Yosemite with DH and seeing a sign for the amphitheater and him checking for wifi...
Sheryl I am so sorry. I hope you all are able to get his medicine and into some therapy soon.
Sheryl, lots of good thoughts and ~ma headed your way! I hope the medication helps.
I managed to sort of Marie Kondo my wardrobe today. My folding skills aren't really very good, mostly because my hands don't want to cooperate. TCG is going to take a huge bag of stuff to the post office for thredup (mostly because it's too heavy for me to carry) and another bag is headed out to be donated. The problem is I never can keep up the momentum with reorganizing because I overdo it and then am too exhausted to do more the next day.
Sheryl, I hope you are able to work together on a good strategy going forward. ~ma for strength and energy for you and Gary.
I need to get some kind of space heaters that I can run without popping my breakers. Not sure if charging my car is contributing to the overload but I've popped the main 3 times in the past couple weeks. Including this morning. My car should have been completely charged but I had 4 heaters running, each on different circuits, but apparently too much overall.
If you don't have upgraded electrical then yes, the electric car can put a big strain on the system. At full draw they can pull close to 15A on a standard 110 circuit. We had a 220 service installed in our garage so that we could have a Level 2 charge station for the Bolt.
