Eek, t! Are you reduced??
Jesse, I was driving through Oregon to Crater Lake! Saw Mount Hood and a cool gorge and stuff. Am supposed to be here two days but it may thunderstorm tomorrow, so I might pack it in early. I've already been most of the way around the lake, and they stopped doing the boat tours for the year already, so one day may be fine anyway. We shall see how I like the campsite and how the weather is.
Oh no, -t! How is your job?
That sounds very cool, meara. Amazing pictures!
I am not reduced, but I don't feel very secure. The guy who sits on the other side of the cubicle wall from me is gone, which blows. For one thing, his first grandchild is due in the next few weeks. I hope he got a decent severance package. For another, the rest of us need to absorb his workload and that's stress I don't need.
Every time my company goes through these things they handle it differently and it always seems like they handle it very badly. This came completely out of the blue.
Woo, Crater Lake! I haven't been there in so long, I should go back.
Anyone want to be my productivity buddy for the next couple of hours on Messenger or text?
I'm sorry, -t. Very upsetting stuff.
BIL's Bahamian family is safe, although significant damages to property. They don't even know the full extent yet. They've been communicating via WhatsApp throughout the whole storm and now. Sending horrific pictures. Part of the issue is going to be the airports being trashed, and roads of course. Even getting help to people will be very difficult for some time.
I'm sorry, -t. Even if you don't get reduced, that's a rough situation to be in.
I'm glad your Bahamian relatives are ok, Laura.
Ok, this is ridiculous. I didn't have any phone service near the lake or at the visitors center but I do at my campsite? Minimal. But still! I feel less camp-y.
