Not to brag, but I'm pretty sure I just ran into a wood elf. My department shares the third floor of a building with another team, and that team has pretty high turnover, so I'm used to seeing new people wandering about. Today's new person was an utterly beautiful man, about 6'6", with high cheekbones, long brown hair (obscuring his doubtless pointy ears, alas), and a haughty expression. Unlike everyone else in this southern area, he did not respond to a friendly, "Hiya." Thranduil, come get your boy!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Excellent, Calli. Let us know about future sightings.
Yes, where are you adventuring now, meara?
Back to work today. Some of my offices stayed closed today but most people are back to work breathing a sigh of relief that we didn't get slammed by Dorian. Continued distress over our Bahamian friends.
My daughter dresses up as an elf for going to RenFaire (with pointy ears). She pulls it off really well.
I'm so sad for the Bahamas.
Ooh, Calli!
Depressing: someone on NextDoor asking for recommendations for snow removal services.
Nooooo! I did see some leaves turning here and there on my most recent drives. Sob.
My one coworker has already been apple picking!
I remember seeing one of the Lord of the Rings movies and there were three teenage girls sitting together. While the lights were still on, I noticed they all had little elf ears on. Renewed my faith in the younger generation.
Well, hell. We just had a "reduction in force" that apparently is going to be coupled with restructuring. This sucks.
Eek, t! Are you reduced??
Jesse, I was driving through Oregon to Crater Lake! Saw Mount Hood and a cool gorge and stuff. Am supposed to be here two days but it may thunderstorm tomorrow, so I might pack it in early. I've already been most of the way around the lake, and they stopped doing the boat tours for the year already, so one day may be fine anyway. We shall see how I like the campsite and how the weather is.
