Timelies all!
Today was Mr. S's first day at his new preschool, and I've been stressed out about it. Turns out I was right to worry. The aftercare teacher told me he opened the gate from the playground three times, and he overturned chairs in the classroom. They have safety concerns, and I understand that, but I'm afraid he's going to be kicked out before the first week is done. We don't have any other options.
(Called the doctor for Sam's meds, but haven't heard anything yet)
Shouldn't it be the school's responsibility to make sure kids can't open gates.
I would think making sure the gates are secured is the school's job. Also do they know he's been without his medication? Hopefully they will be understanding about that.
My attendance is no longer required for jury duty. I always have such mixed feelings about that.
I have driven all day today, am getting dinner, and then driving about 30 min to my Airbnb. Whew! Pretty stuff though.
Where are you, meara? You're having so many adventures!!
Not to brag, but I'm pretty sure I just ran into a wood elf. My department shares the third floor of a building with another team, and that team has pretty high turnover, so I'm used to seeing new people wandering about. Today's new person was an utterly beautiful man, about 6'6", with high cheekbones, long brown hair (obscuring his doubtless pointy ears, alas), and a haughty expression. Unlike everyone else in this southern area, he did not respond to a friendly, "Hiya." Thranduil, come get your boy!
Excellent, Calli. Let us know about future sightings.
Yes, where are you adventuring now, meara?
Back to work today. Some of my offices stayed closed today but most people are back to work breathing a sigh of relief that we didn't get slammed by Dorian. Continued distress over our Bahamian friends.
