So I was talking to my mother yesterday about the Al Franken situation because she's finally read that New Yorker article (I have not), and finally I was like, Even if he was railroaded or whatever, has he or this country actually been hurt by him being out of the Senate. No! Therefore, I don't really give a shit.
Honestly, I would be way more worried about "#metoo going too far" if the consequences were more severe. And by "way more worried" I mean worried at all.

exactly where I am on it. Tina Smith seems to be doing fine.
Mac has not communicated and as far as I can tell has not been to the house. He picked up the 2 bags I packed and his computer yesterday while I was out. I left 2 more packed bags out last night and have added a third today, but he has not picked them up.
I don't like lying to my parents even by omission, but they leave on a trip tomorrow and do not need to know about his nonsense.
I am SO HAPPY to have tomorrow off, even if I plan to spend half the day doing work for my job.
I got more leftover stuff from the garage sale taken to a thrift store and a couple of boxes of items taken to my parents and then the friend I had the sale with took a couple of boxes of her stuff home, so now I can get the car back in the garage.

We just had a little bbq with the neighbors, and everyone made great stuff! I bought chips and salsa, so I really made out -- even more so because my neighbor sent me home with ribs he smoked all day because he always over buys!

Mixed day here, not as fun as Jesse and meara! In Otter Lake it was the fire department yearly big fund raiser bash so there was socializing. At least it took me away from hurricane watching. So many Bahamian friends and family in full panic mode over their friends and family. Not a pretty scene there.
