Mixed day here, not as fun as Jesse and meara! In Otter Lake it was the fire department yearly big fund raiser bash so there was socializing. At least it took me away from hurricane watching. So many Bahamian friends and family in full panic mode over their friends and family. Not a pretty scene there.

I miss having a job that didn't involve 24-hour customer availability. Guaranteed holidays were nice.
Our building is closed tomorrow, but that just meant I had to work today instead.
I'm not working on Monday, but I just got home from work about 10 minutes ago, so it has still been a lot of work this weekend.
I'm working today. Retail doesn't close. It's been a long few days. I closed Friday night , opened Saturday, worked open to close yesterday (11-7 so same hours as Sat) and work open to 6:45 today. It's not a huge number of hours but it's more a mental thing.
Weekends and holidays means doing work on my customer servers that I can't do when they are working. Upside, I make my own hours, while downside is there are too damn many of them.
Well, we had originally hoped to use our day off for a big family bike ride + picnic, but it looks like it's going to rain all afternoon. Blech!
That actually gives me an excuse to put off my housework even more, I realize -- I would have tried to get into that now and done errands later, but I should do the outside stuff first. Sweet.
Anyone want to recommend/warn me against a streaming live TV service? Our bundle pricing expired so I'm about to cancel the phone/cable parts of our Fios bill.
YouTubeTV has a slightly better channel lineup, but doesn't work with FireTV yet, so I think we're leaning towards Hulu with Enhanced Cloud DVR.
I find myself watching Hulu far more than Netflix or Prime, although I don't have the live TV option.
