msbelle, we have been seeing a child psychologist to get the diagnosis for him(severe ADHD and ODD), and to work on ways to deal with him. We saw a child psychologist about medication. Mr. S has an appointment for an EKG tomorrow.(It's required to check for heart problems before they prescribe Adderall, which is a stimulant.)

As many of you saw of FB, day 2 of the garage sale was super slow. I only sold about $30 worth of stuff, but some of it was bulky stuff (3 tier plastic cart - 10 skeins of yarn) and/or stuff that is not really useful to donate (vintage kitchen tins).
Moreover, we filled our two cars and went straight to the thrift store with boxes and bags of lots of stuff.
Alas, not everything. I do have 2 bags of clothes and linens to donate to a family a friend is helping. And all the books and movies and going to the library and the CDs are going to my parent's house for the estate sale when they move.
I listed some of the bigger stuff that did not sell on FB marketplace and a buy/sell group on FB just for this area. 1 of the items has drawn some attention already, so fingers crossed that goes - would be another $80 dollars.
For now I am headed to bed. I've rubbed icy hot all over my calves and shoulders in hopes that I will not be too sore tomorrow.
msbelle, I'm always impressed with how organized you are with selling stuff, etc.
ltc is at school! Her new teachers seem wonderful, and, as usual, ltc was off and ignoring us the minute we arrived.

That is the best! The wailing clinging child the first day of school is such a horror for all involved.

Seriously! I am the worst with this stuff. Hence having had either work warehouses or storage units for years.
Laura, there was one kid in her class last year that was in hysterics every single morning. I was so grateful not to have to deal with that.
I'm having one of the busiest months ever with three big exams next week, moving apartments the following week and still recovering from that nasty virus I've had last week. Seeing msbelle and Gud's posts here is the mental kick I need when I Just Can't Anymore.
Good job, msbelle!
Sheryl, hang in there. Even with the professionals involved, it's going to take some time to help Mr. S change his behavior. In the meantime, be good to yourselves!
Sara started junior year of high school today. I am not quite believing it, although she isn't here, so I guess it's true.
Wow, Amy! I can't believe she is that grown up!
Me either. And she is the last bird in the nest, so to speak. Craziness.
Whoa, that is wild.
