Sheryl, I hope the good behavior continues. Tomorrow is the first day of school for F. t throws glitter
Kids! Yikes!
I'm sorry Mr S is being such a pain! Having only vicariously witnessed my brother's toddlers, I know they all went through extremely difficult stages, but survived to become very cool adults, with fairly insane children of their own. All of which is to say, I hope you survive this to get to the cool part!
Msbelle, Mac is so unbelievably stubborn! It would have broken me long ago. I hope he wakes up someday to realize how lucky he is to have you.
sj, I have been watching f grow up an the book of faces, but can't quite believe she's ready for school!
quester, still preschool. This will be her third year at her current school, and she may stay one more year for preK.
Spoke too soon. When we picked him up, he started to spit on us, throw stuff and hit. We put him in time out in his room when we got home, and he pushed the screen out of his window. Gary's had no luck trying to put it back.
Ugh, Sheryl I'm sorry. ltc just started the spitting thing. Where do they even get this stuff from?
Sheryl did you all find a child psychiatrist to start regular appts?
msbelle, we have been seeing a child psychologist to get the diagnosis for him(severe ADHD and ODD), and to work on ways to deal with him. We saw a child psychologist about medication. Mr. S has an appointment for an EKG tomorrow.(It's required to check for heart problems before they prescribe Adderall, which is a stimulant.)
As many of you saw of FB, day 2 of the garage sale was super slow. I only sold about $30 worth of stuff, but some of it was bulky stuff (3 tier plastic cart - 10 skeins of yarn) and/or stuff that is not really useful to donate (vintage kitchen tins).
Moreover, we filled our two cars and went straight to the thrift store with boxes and bags of lots of stuff.
Alas, not everything. I do have 2 bags of clothes and linens to donate to a family a friend is helping. And all the books and movies and going to the library and the CDs are going to my parent's house for the estate sale when they move.
I listed some of the bigger stuff that did not sell on FB marketplace and a buy/sell group on FB just for this area. 1 of the items has drawn some attention already, so fingers crossed that goes - would be another $80 dollars.
For now I am headed to bed. I've rubbed icy hot all over my calves and shoulders in hopes that I will not be too sore tomorrow.
msbelle, I'm always impressed with how organized you are with selling stuff, etc.
ltc is at school! Her new teachers seem wonderful, and, as usual, ltc was off and ignoring us the minute we arrived.
