Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry, KB.

Went to the Irish Museum of Rock Music and rode on a Hop-On Hop-Off bus for a bit. Mr. S has been behaving badly for much of the day. We fly back tomorrow.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

My sister has the ashes of her now deceased cats and is saving them to be interred with her when she dies. Not sure how to feel about that.

I kinda roll my eyes about Mom wanting to be scattered with Domino, but figure WTH, right?

Ann, that's a ferret.

I had Coco cremated. His ashes are in a box on my desk. He hung out with me in life as I worked from home, and he does now as well.

brillig

The ashes of my in-laws' beloved teacup poodle were buried with my FIL. It seemed weird, but that man adored that little creature. Its name was Cuddles. My FIL was in the Navy in Korea and Nam and went off with the Special Forces when he was bored, but the greatest love of his life after my MIL was a teacup poodle.

Really sorry, KB.

Got hit will a bad headache and nosebleed at work. Unfortunate timing as I need to get and put in a new mailbox since someone played mailbox baseball on our street last night. Guess that's still a thing.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yikes, Gud! Could the two things be connected?

(Of course, it could just be that your mutant powers are finally manifesting.)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm sorry, Katie B. It really sucks realizing that such a big part of your life is gone.

My folks were cremated, and Mom's box sat in my closet until Dad died, and then we paid for a spot in the local cathedral columbarium. However my sister stopped by recently and said they still haven't engraved the names on the front of the niche. I need to double-check and then make some calls.

What is even happening?

I'm sorry for your losses, Katerina Bee and Theodosia.

Gud, please take care of yourself.

My nosebleed-inducing superpowers mostly seem to be giving myself headaches.

We do have a new mailbox now and at least it's a lot nicer looking that the old one. Interestingly, it opens at both which would be nice for getting mail without having to go out into the street, but in our yard there's a ditch right behind it so it's not a practical. Good idea though.
