Zoe: Uh huh. River, honey? He's putting the hair away now. River: It'll still be there... waiting.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh Theo, I'm so sorry.

I'm sorry Theo. Sounds like it's really a pile-on of too much to deal with at once for your cousin.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I've been having stupid intense hot flashes for like 2 weeks now and today I read this : "Hot flashes are tightly linked with stress and anxiety, according to a six-year study published in Menopause. Researchers found that anxiety and stress preceded hot flashes among perimenopausal and post-menopausal women. Women with the highest levels of stress were more than five times (I repeat, five times!) more likely than normally stressed women to report hot flashes"

Of course. Stupid body.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another exhausting day trying to wrangle Mr. S at the con.

Sheryl, forgive me for forgetting. Are the cons parts of your all's professions?

Weekend party for a friend's birthday, she rented a house on the lake with a dock, so that other friends could bring their boat for the weekend and we could all swim and play on the boat and stuff. Sadly, the boat died, and started sinking. So some of the time was spent bailing out the boat with teacups (before they finally got a real pump), and eventually trying to paddle the boat to the launch where it could be driven away (luckily a neighbor saw it and towed them in). Made me very glad it was not my boat.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

meara, at least it's a weekend you will all remember, so there's that.

Oh, it was still a fun weekend, and at least the cheesecake I made came out good! (I'd not made one in years, and was using a random recipe that called for a water bath with a springform pan, and I wasn't sure on the timing of taking it out, and I was worried I'd messed it up--but it looked good released from the pan and tasted great!).

Crossing my fingers that next weekend is not rainy like the one weather forecaster is saying, though--my rescheduled backpacking trip is then!
