"I'm afraid the computer will blow up if I hit the wrong thing!"
"There is nothing explosive in your computer unless it was put there."
That has actually reassured a couple of people.

This is my theory. I bought my mom a tablet. I was just going to get her an ereader, but she was convinced (by commercials, I'm pretty sure) that she wanted a tablet. I was able to teach her (barely) to use it as an ereader. Nothing else. Hand a 6-year-old the same tablet, they could probably hack into my bank or something. They don't fear anything, let alone EVERYTHING.
I surely failed as a parent that my kids didn't hack into banks. I should have guided them better. Oh well, opportunity lost.
Eldest son is currently studying for his security certification so he is learning cool hacking stuff. He is really enjoying it.
We were unable to get into a panel Hippocampus was moderating because the room was full.
Sorry you couldn't get in, Sheryl, but that is cool to hear!
Vacation prep was only the half of it, apparently.
On what should have been a 4-hour drive I spent more than half an hour stopped in traffic (with my AC turned off after the first few minutes to avoid engine overheating!) for a wreck that involved two fire trucks, an ambulance, multiple sheriff's vehicles, and a tow truck hauling an empty cattle carrier away from the scene. Those cows may not have jumped over the moon, but I believe they got a lot more air than is usual for their species.
Then I came across another wreck before the first responders arrived (thankfully everyone seemed OK and able to walk away from the cars), and not long after that had to stop for flagmen on a winding mountain road.
Usually driving into the Ozarks and seeing all the beautiful scenery relaxes me and gets me in the right mood for vacation, but this time I was hypervigilant for most of the drive and white knuckled it all the way to my B&B.
Yikes, Matt! I hope you get to relax now.
Inspections are fun when someone is also seeing house in person for first time & exploring the hood and you start picturing them there AND OMG I CANNOT WAIT.
And, I need to go to bed. But today was boring &kinda sleepless & then awesome & I'M GETTING ALL YOUR MSBELLE.
Amazing!
I'm so excited for msbelle, and all of Baltimore!
Oh Matt, that is so not a good way to start your R&R. Hope today is very much better.
