Lorne: My little prince. Oh…what did they do to you? Angel: Nina…tried to…eat me. Lorne: Oh, you're--medic! You're gonna make it Angel. Just don't stop fighting. Doctor! Is there a Gepetto in the house?

Thrive to spite them

YAY on the house msbelle! And Nora. Those are awesome.

Also it's awesome Atropa gets a discount on tasers. Does that mean the Evil Bunny will be getting one too?

Thrive to spite them

And this needed it's own post. Got to pick up my nephew at summer camp. I asked him how it went and he said ok. They went on a hike and then played in a creek for the last half hour or so. I asked what they did and he said "all the other kids went up stream to have a water fight and I stayed and tried to catch fish and then skipped rocks". I kind of tried to ask some questions , was trying to figure out why he didn't go up stream but he just said "I didn't want to " and didn't really respond to other questions.

I think my nephew is like me in many ways and that kinda makes me sad and then it makes me sad that it makes me sad. He is an awesome kid and I don't want to see him hurt or lonely and I know this is life and we can't protect against that. He is in 5th grade this year and then next year he'll be in middle school. I'm kind of hoping middle school will be more his jam. I know in middle school there are clubs and more structured activities and I'm hoping he can find his people or at least a buddy.

I never really found my people until y'all but at least in middle school I had at least one friend for chunks of the time.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Does that mean the Evil Bunny will be getting one too?

Ultimately, this is my biggest question.

askye, I think your nephew has a great thing going for him, having you in his corner with some idea of what things are like for him. There's certainly some sadness that you didn't find your place at his age, and I don't want to sound like I'm discounting that, but your self-knowledge and experience can be a huge guidepost for him.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Does that mean the Evil Bunny will be getting one too?

Oh yes. Yes it does.

I'm working for Axon. The lobby doors are replicas of the doors from The Nostromo, because the company is run by giant nerds. The lobby entrance at the parent office in AZ is a replica of the HQ doors from the original MiB movie. Did I mention nerds?

BZZT! BZZT!

Our wings are not tired.

Bzzt!

It gets light outside and I wake up. This would be a much better deal if I didn't get sleepy when the sun goes down. Still, I like my quiet mornings. When I get up the dog has decided this means he gets to take over my side of the bed with DH.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm so tired! I got in late Sunday night and have been out until nine the last two nights. All good things, but I feel like I'm just crawling toward next weekend.

They went on a hike and then played in a creek for the last half hour or so. I asked what they did and he said "all the other kids went up stream to have a water fight and I stayed and tried to catch fish and then skipped rocks".

When I was on this band retreat the other weekend, they were super explicit at all times that no one had to participate in anything, which was great. So at any given time, even if we were "all" doing an activity, there were always one or two people off being alone. Obviously it helps that we are grownups, but I think that was really valuable and I wish that kind of attitude existed everywhere!
