And by "whole house," I mean all the floors/rugs, all the walls, all the doorframes/molding/tops of doors, and the blades of the ceiling fan.
Wow!

Yeah, I was a little crazed. And I had a LOT of angry-bees energy to burn off.
Teppy I want you to come be stressed out at my house.
My stress relief was driving 12 miles to town to get pizza and wine and inviting my sister over to watch tv and comfort eat. My carpets remain in need of vacuuming.
I joined Steph in some house cleaning last night. Swept two rooms, vacuumed one plus corner cobwebs, spot treated and scrubbed the carpet in one room, wiped down some baseboards, and did two loads of laundry.
I have a foster agency coming over tomorrow, so that is my motivation. Tonight I mop, clean my bedroom and bath, and move some boxes of stuff out to garage. Wiping downrhecwalls and the ceiling fans would probable be good too.
Ugh, just unfriended one friend for 30 years, and may well do the same to my great nephew before the day is done. I just have no room in my life for people that actually believe Kavanaugh over Ford. No room at all.
I have to do all the cleaning tonight/tomorrow, and too bad my fury is paralyzing, not catalyzing.

Yeah, I should be working on a paper for school right now, but all of our readings this week were on the topic of unpaid care work (i.e. women's work and how women aren't valued in neoliberalist capitalism) and I wonder how much my grade would suffer if I just turned in 2 pages of single spaced " I JUST CAN'T EVEN RIGHT NOW". (And then "SERIOUSLY I WENT TO HOLTON-ARMS AND THIS WEEK IS TOO MUCH" as a citation.)
I would accept that and not take it out on your grade, Jess.
I wanted to thank Sophia, Hil and Zen for sharing their stories. It's helped me clarify my thoughts and feelings about our culture's built-in misogyny and sexualized violence. The gamut that young women are forced to run through and the long-lasting effects and damage that it causes.
I'm grateful that you have shared what were difficult and traumatic experiences.
Two things I'm seeing more clearly now. One is how the culture repeatedly minimizes the effect on women. How they are expected to get over it and even this pressure to say, "I wasn't raped but..." and have to justify their feelings about these experiences.
And that's the second thing is just we have to stop drawing a line at rape and saying that's the standard of misogyny or sexual violence and everything else is dismissed.
First of all because even when Brock Turner is caught in the act, he gets away.
And second, because it dismisses and minimizes all this damage that occurs below the threshold of rape.
