If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

too bad my fury is paralyzing, not catalyzing

Yeah, I should be working on a paper for school right now, but all of our readings this week were on the topic of unpaid care work (i.e. women's work and how women aren't valued in neoliberalist capitalism) and I wonder how much my grade would suffer if I just turned in 2 pages of single spaced " I JUST CAN'T EVEN RIGHT NOW". (And then "SERIOUSLY I WENT TO HOLTON-ARMS AND THIS WEEK IS TOO MUCH" as a citation.)

Our wings are not tired.

I would accept that and not take it out on your grade, Jess.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I wanted to thank Sophia, Hil and Zen for sharing their stories. It's helped me clarify my thoughts and feelings about our culture's built-in misogyny and sexualized violence. The gamut that young women are forced to run through and the long-lasting effects and damage that it causes.

I'm grateful that you have shared what were difficult and traumatic experiences.

Two things I'm seeing more clearly now. One is how the culture repeatedly minimizes the effect on women. How they are expected to get over it and even this pressure to say, "I wasn't raped but..." and have to justify their feelings about these experiences.

And that's the second thing is just we have to stop drawing a line at rape and saying that's the standard of misogyny or sexual violence and everything else is dismissed.

First of all because even when Brock Turner is caught in the act, he gets away.

And second, because it dismisses and minimizes all this damage that occurs below the threshold of rape.

Our wings are not tired.

The person I unfriended today replied to me that as a mother of sons I needed to understand that girls lie about these things. Buh bye. DH kept me from unfriending my nephew by deleting all of his comments, since it was on one of his posts. That has been his coping method with relatives that he doesn't want to unfriend. He just deletes their objectionable comments.

We'll see what happens with this latest Flake business. Hmmm.

I like the snooze button when it's their own questionable posts. I don't want to actually unfriend my nephew, but if I have to read the word "libtard" one more time...

We'll see what happens with this latest Flake business. Hmmm.

Lindsey G. to President: Can we have an FBI investigation? President: No. Flake, Murkowski, Collins, Manchin: Oh, well, we did everything we could. We confirm.

In a nutshell.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, that's what I expect and it's weighing me down. Maybe if I save my energy today I'll be ready to riot next week.

Sounds like an A paper on women's unpaid labor to me, Jess!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Maybe if I save my energy today I'll be ready to riot next week.

God, yes.

Whuuuuuuut.

I am v much at "can't even" levels and thinking I will avoid news all weekend as possible which means fb. And my usual newspaper reading. Ugh.
