Our wings are not tired.

Just got back from a weekend camping on the Cape with no connectivity to hear about the latest shootings. Jeebus.

I was mostly off line for several days, which was a good thing because I really didn't need to sit and stare at the coverage.

Epic, I hope common sense prevails.

DH is doing chores like mad around the place so he can get back to Florida. I made him a list of 7 things he had to do before he could leave. He has put up the mailbox, which was a pain with all the rocks. I had told the mail carrier she could just drop anything for me next door in the meantime. She had suggested just putting a bucket at the curb. He also put the cover back on the breaker box, which was on his list since he took it off! Mostly I am trying to keep him here as long as possible so the kids can do stuff at the house to surprise him.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Grandparents - I only had 2 grandmothers:

  • Nanny Gay: My mom's stepmom, who came up with this gem on her own (last name was Gay).
  • Honey: My dad's mom. A cousin started calling her Honey because our grandfather (who died when I was 3) used it when speaking to her (Hi, Honey!).

My mom and dad are Granny and Papa.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

How do you pronounce Papa? Because my aunt's parents are Nana and Papa, I guess, but they only ever say it "puppa." Maybe that's a New England thing? I feel like it's pretty common here.

They are southern so it's "Pah-puh."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Got the botox shots. Almost passed out in the doctor's office. So today is going great.

Yikes Dana! I suggest sitting or laying down for the rest of the day.

ION - I have made an offer on a house. Which is wayyyy early and not on plan and kinda terrifying since I don't know job situation or anything. Still did it.

Fingers crossed I win the offer war.

I say that quite admiringly.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I now have another kids' show I dislike: Masha and the Bear.
