Tell him that people who don't know where they're going to be living in 28 days don't get to go to Six Flags.
(I'm wondering if you should talk to a lawyer and set up provisions in your will to put your estate in a trust that will only disburse money to him in stages, or leave it to your parents to administer for him until he's 25 or whatever. Because he's going to blow through it and be homeless if he got a lump sum, at this stage.)
I need money to go to Six Flags, too!
Except between tickets and bus fare, I'm gonna need way more than $65. I guess Mac is kind of a bargain?
Theo, that's how we have our will set up for ltc.
My parents' grandparent names are Baba and Gaga, courtesy of toddler Rose. This summer Rose, now 7, started calling them Babsie and Gagsie, and, well, I think we may try to encourage them to go with good ol' Grandma and Grandpa before too long.
He is not in my will. Everything in my will at the moment goes to my brother.
They were, lisah! Delaware, in fact, although MomMom was born and raised in West Virginia.
I think I knew that? That's where I'm from and knew lots of kids who used those names for their grandparents.
My grandparents were just "grandma [first name]" and "grandpa [first name]" on both sides. But my older cousins called them grandma and grandpa [last name], whereas in my family, that referred to my great-grandmother (I think my dad grew up referring to her that way)
All of mine (4 grands and a great-grand) were Grandma/pa Lastname. That's what they've decided to go with (Although we're using first initials for signing with the baby, since V and H are very similar, but L/R and S/M are nicely sorted into similar sets).
It's real weird for me because "Grandma/Grandpa Lastname" do not yet automatically pull up the right person in my brain.
Wills are a whole lot easier when you only have nephews and a niece to leave things to, and they're all over 18 now, and four of them graduated college so far.
I should probably make a will just to make things easier for Maria when I die. I am the youngest person in my family aside from distant cousins and have no assets except life insurance (she is the beneficiary) and retirement savings. Once my debt is paid that doesn't leave much
I only had one set of grandparents and they were grandma and grandpa. My mom and her brothers and sisters referred to my grandma as Granny. They never called her a mother type name in my presence
