My first period at 50 hit me like a truck. I've had no energy . Cramps aren't the worst but pretty bad.
I went over for Crafty Day witb my friend but cut it short because i felt so icky.i felt better this morning but then faded fast. And I was going to volunteer tomorrow but emailed them to cancel. Which is disappointing but since I know it will be hot and it's not work I'm staying home.
And the internet had been out for most of the day. Supposed to be back st 430 and now it's 630 and Spectrum is "working on the problem"

I'm 52 now and still fucking getting them. Though they are more and more irregular, so I'm hoping they'll fuck off completely sooner rather than later. It feels really unfair to get a period AND hot flashes.
I thought I was finally on that road, and hadn’t had a period since February. But the damn heparin they gave me in the hospital seems to have brought it back. Feh. Super light though so I’m telling myself it doesn’t really count.
I'm feeling better today. I really want to go volunteer tomorrow so I'll see how I feel this afternoon. Normally I'm not hit with this kind of fatigue and it's annoying.
Also the last time I talked to a dr about peri menopause and menopause she was like -- I have a patient who is 60 (or almost 60 I can't remember) who still has regular cycles... Which sounds like a horror story.
eesh ... I can't imagine still having regular cycles ... I was relieved when I hit menopause.

I was late to get mine and they have been interrupted a lot so I suppose there are a few left.
A great deal better, but not 100% yet. Enough so I can do my Zoom event today, which is good...being registered for a week feels like a long-range plan nowadays.
Well my super tiredness hasn't just been from my period. I haven't been taking my Vyvanse. I was accidentally taking some old duloxetine. I misplaced it Vyvanse several days ago and found a bottle behind the dresser. It rattled like capsules so I just assumed it was Vyvanse (I thought I had disposed of all my old meds).
This morning I was moving a pile of dirty laundry to a laundry basket snd found a medicine bottle...looked at it. Vyvanse. Huh I thought..I didn't realize I had extra somehow. Checked the bottle on the dresser. Duloxetine.
The capsules are different sizes but since I'm half asleep when I take the Vyvanse in the morning it didn't register.

I had a great time volunteering today. I sorted through more yarn...so much yarn. A lot of vintage acrylic and wool but also A LOT of really really nice yarn.
And the store doesn't sell magazines they get donated they end up recycling them but I was talking to one of the founders about the type of art I do and after I was off and kind of shopping around he found me and said "I have some magazines you might like" and they were Art Journaling but also some other stuff he didn't think i'd like. I told him I'd pretty much take anything they had and ended up with a couple of boxes of really neat magazines.
