Catching up and just read the foursome thread for the first time. That was a delightful read, thank you all for the memories. At first I was wondering if that fic ever got written, but then I realized that it would be weird and kinda squicky reading about omnis and shir (et al) and I’ll stick to fic involving fictional participants for my own mental health ;p

I once got cited in an article about RPF,(Not about people I know, although on a small and parody scale, I've also done that) as, say, "Not as bad as some of the crap that's out there," though they didn't actually use those words, but being damned with faint praise is still as close to a review as I've ever got. Was just a series of ficlets about Huma and Hillary having lunch or something--nobody even took her top off. Found myself thinking about them and wondering what they talked about so I got in their shoes for a moment. Anyway, I'm here today cause Mom's just off to get her yearly mammogram. Not exactly worried, because it's been okay, say, 20 of 22, times. But there were those other times, too, so I can't just think of it like plaque scaling. I'm going to need to start doing that, myself, soon, but the death I fear most from that is the carnage that may break out if one more medical professional is, like "Are you absolutely sure she can't stand up? Not even a little?" and all that. (No, not even a little. It could *look* like it, if I lean my whole weight on you, but that's it.) Also, I've had plenty of tests where folks have had to shrug and guess that I'm all right because my stuff doesn't look like the stuff in the book anyway, so...(I'm still here, so guess they didn't miss ALL THAT much...) Also, it's kind of sad to think of Bitches as if it's a deserted mall, so I stopped by the food court and tossed a coin in the fountain, right?

Although I suppose if you have some health -ma for Actual Mom that would be great to have, too.
