The ADHD is one of the reasons my doctor chose it.
Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Wellbutrin is great for me, though after a couple years I had to up the dose—we tried adding something else but it made me exhausted, gain wait, and killed my libido, so Wellbutrin alone is getting me through.
Teppy, yes. Gabapentin at bedtime.
I hope that helps, sj.
When my son had his Crohn's surgery last year, he decided he wanted to do it without opioids. He'd never taken them, but he was concerned about developing a dependence. Given the extent of the surgery, the surgeon insisted he'd need morphine in post-op, but he could try. He had IV ibuprofen, Tylenol, and gabapentin. The Gabapentin made a big difference for him. I hope it helps you too.
The bedtime meds were amazeballs. I slept like the dead. All night. No waking up every hour to reposition myself only to find there are no comfortable positions.
New doc said not to start the Wellbutrin for a couple of days because she wanted me to be able to know which drug might be causing side effects. Which made me want to hug her because I hate starting new drugs, and when a doctor throws a bunch of prescriptions at me and tells me not to worry, I freak out.
I've been on Welbutrin for years, always in combination with something else. If I miss a day, I feel it. (Never been diagnosed with ADHD, though.)
Thank you, everyone for sharing your meds stories with me. It makes me feel less alone in all of this.
And in more funny old school Bitch content. I keep seeing velvet and crushed velvet clothes everywhere and I want to buy it all out of pure nostalgia. However, I probably shouldn’t be spending money on clothes when I don’t go anywhere, and I’m not sure it is wise to be wearing the fashions my 12 year old self wore.
Sj yay for a good night's sleep.
I double checked my schedule for next week. I swear I was working 2:30 to 11 on Thanksgiving and 9 to 5:30 on Friday.
But now it says 2:30-pm 11pm n Wednesday and 7am -3:30 on Thanksgiving.
I know they probably have changed the schedule a few times and probably can't change it again and there are people with longer commutes (several ppl live an hour a way) and we aren't staffed for this kind of hours.
There is a hotel almost across the street from the mall and I may see about booking a room for that night. I mean people aren't traveling so maybe one will be available.
Sleep, blessed sleep! So good to read that the meds worked.
Askye, that schedule is pure evil. Good luck.
So, I have alarms going off every half hour telling me to take my med, and it is great because I'm also grabbing a small something to eat at the same time so that the meds don't upset my stomach. I might not be eating the most healthy of things, but in general I do better if I don't let myself get too hungry.
