I know everyone is overwhelmed with Covid. So I’m trying to be kind.
Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
sj I'm sorry you are in pain. I hope you can figure out some better pain management.
So I have forgotten to take some of my doses of my antibiotics (it's 3x a day, I fall down on the middle part of teh day) but I am going to finish it. I did take an over the counter test this morning and it showed very faint trace amount that could mean infection so I'm going to retest on Wed and see how I'm doing.
lotion/rub
There's a particular CBD lotion that is a miracle pain reliever for me. Painless X by Resonant Botanicals If they can ship to you, I recommend it. It helped so much while I was healing from the back spasm nonsense last year.
I use a THC vape to go to sleep. Not legal here, don’t care. It’s NOLA, so I could probably stand on my stoop and say “who’s holding?” and have offers in seconds. As it is my friend’s boyfriend deals. One cartridge has lasted me well over a year. It helps with pain and short-circuiting anxiety thought spirals. I’ve also started burning incense every night as part of my sleep hygiene, so at 45 I am apparently going full hippie. No patchouli, though. NEVER PATCHOULI.
Laura, I totally assumed it was elder son when you were first talking about the issues! It’s hard for me to picture younger son being such a brat. I’m so sorry.
sj, may you get relief soon.
I love the smell of patchouli! My hippie sister (eldest) used to burn incense when I was a wee one and she was... a teenaged hippie burning incense. Because she liked the smell. Mmmmm-hmmmm.
Anyway, love patchouli.
Patchouli equals instant asthma attack for me.
I know what never to send you in a gift exchange!
I like the smell of patchouli but yeah, I can't breathe in the actual incense smoke for long or my lungs go on strike.
How far from DC do you live, Zen?
JenP, about two hours, with normal traffic. The same as to Roanoke, where I go once a month for physical therapy. It's not a bad trip.
Just got off the phone with my BFF. Her mother is in the hospital; she had blurry vision in one eye, they did a MRI and discovered multiple brain aneurysms. In an old, overweight, hypertensive alcoholic, it's worrisome. She's been in the ER since last night waiting for a bed in ICU, which is, of course, full. This fucking year.
sj, I hope your pain eases soon.
Health ~ma to your friend's mom, Zen. That's scary.
