It's a hard decision to make but I think the right one.
M's mom had said she wasn't going to to anyone's house anymore or so Thanksgiving like normal but she got guilty into doing the normal plans.
She was going to stop going over on Sundays but I think she will keep going over. M's brother doesn't think covid is a big deal and M's mom said "until one of them gets it bad they won't believe it's serious ".
Right now I a thinking just the two of us for Thanksgiving, possibly my MIL and SIL and nephews. We can easily eat outside.
I have a dentist appointment in 2 weeks I'm nervous about. Less about covid exposure and more about my teeth. My front tooth has been bothering me, not hurting just kind of sensitive and I fell into the cycle of not using the water pik bc even that was giving me anxiety about the sensation, then not brushing as well because that was giving me anxiety over the sensation and drinking too many diet cokes because I'm anxious and or not sleeping well --off and on for most of the year.
I'm trying to tell myself that I get hyper aware of my mouth a lot and it's usually not anything but that. But I don't know.
Also I have a UTI. I tried to go to the CVS minute clinic near me but there was a multi hour wait and I was tired (in part because I have a UTI) and skipped it instead of signing in, coming home for the time and then going back.. I tried to make an appointment today and the closest 2 are booked up for today which I thnk means long waits for walk in. I called my GP hoping she would call in a prescription but she's out until Monday and the only open available times today were when I was at work.
The GP is in Brevard, I get my meds management there too so I've been reluctant to switch over to someone local because it will mean new GP and new psychiatrist/meds manager type person but I'm going to have to do that.
New plan is to call the GP on Monday and/or make an appoint at CVS minute clinic. However I discovered the E clinic option and so I did that- hopefully based on my records at CVS minute clinic they will prescribe the medicine.
Drink bunches and flush that out as much as possible, askye. I drink the high C dose drink mixes when I feel a UTI coming on. Sorry, they are so miserable.
I should do something about a dentist too. Ugh. I have been grinding my teeth so much they are going to disappear.
Dentists have said that teeth-grinding is way up this year. Can't imagine why.
Surely it's 4 out 5 dentists agree that teeth-grinding is way up?
askye, that's a long time to deal with an untreated UTI. Push fluids, particularly cranberry juice. I found cranberry tablets helpful, too. [link]
I hope you feel better, and that you find a way to get treated sooner.
Hello new board!
Hey, askye, I hope you get relief for your UTI soon. Dental anxiety and tactile defensiveness are no joke, either.
Laura, I'm glad you opted for safety.
Wind Sparrow! I’m so glad to see your pixels here! I have missed you!
WindSparrow! Hello love, I think of you often and see you on that other inferior place, but I have missed you here. I do hope you are well. Stick around. Lots of comfy chairs in this new place.
