I'm glad you arrived safely, Laura. How did you manage to get everything in your car?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Glad you had a safe drive, Laura. Go you! on the plumbing.
I managed to get everything in the car I needed, no walker, and even brought about 50 books up here that were in the back bedroom. It was put them in storage with the rest of my books or bring them up here. They can stay in the trunk until I clean the living room where they will end up. That room is #1 in progress.
Go, Laura!
My nephew and family came over and my 7 yo great nephew snatched up a half dozen or so of the books I brought with me. He is on the 2nd Harry Potter and apparently the ones I brought are further along so he has them on hold. (I didn't read them) But he took some Narnias and King Arthur and Captain Underpants, of course!
Yes, he certainly sounds like a great nephew!
It sounds like Laura is the cool Aunt everyone should have.
Let's see, congrats to Scrappy on the house and Laura's son for getting the job and being a fantastic human. Congrats to Laura for the toilet assembly! I am impressed.
sj, I hope sj gets over whatever she has going on and you get to have an easy day tomorrow.
Soooo, I met a guy off Tinder and he's kind of adorbs. I'm in the "he has nice hands" phase (he does have nice hands, too). We've been on two dates and unlike the last Mr. Grabby-hands McObsessive, he hasn't even tried to kiss me yet. He has told me that I'm super smart and beautiful. Funny thing is that looking at his very sparse profile, even for Tinder, I couldn't figure out why I swiped right… and then I remembered that the other week my friend and a bartender and I had traded phones and swiped for each other. So I may owe some bartender I had just met ten minutes before a debt of thanks. He's kind of shy, I think, but we've already had some great talks about things. And he has a dry sense of humor. Anyway, who knows, but it's nice to be excited about someone.
Actually ltc was lovely today. All cuddly and listening. We read a lot. And when bath time came around she gave her baby a bath and then sat in the tub continuing to wash her baby up while we washed her up. It was awesome! I feel like I actually did something right as a parent buying her that bath doll and continuing to talk about bath time and not backing down on her taking a bath. Even if it took several weeks for a pay off.
That's great, smonster!
